ABOUT US
THE BIRTH OF PSI
I have three children of my own, am a Certified Lactation Educator, and over the years have been a mentor to many women in my circle on postpartum care.
Earlier this year (2026), I was solicited by a friend to meet with a woman who was experiencing breastfeeding issues. During our meeting, I discovered that breastfeeding guidance aside, she was also in need of support maintaining the home, cooking, and generally caring for both herself and her family. I helped guide her partner in ways they could better support/step in, and quickly became a trusted and reliable resource to this family.
This family did not have the financial ability to pay for postpartum services, but the need for support and guidance was transparent. It was then, that the idea for Postpartum Support Initiative (PSI) was born.

PSI is a woman-owned non-profit organization, in Los Angeles California, committed to providing postpartum support services specializing in Lactation Education and Doula Care.
Our mission is to provide expert guidance to ensure that mothers and their families receive compassionate, practical, and accessible support during the critical postpartum period, regardless of financial ability.
Our vision is to create a community where breastfeeding and doula care is celebrated and supported. Our value proposition lies in offering personalized consultations, educational resources, and community workshops that enable mothers and their families to make informed decisions.
