Next Step To Begin Therapy

What is the best way to contact you?

The best way to reach me is either on my office phone (626) 204-4098, email at annedennis@mac.com  or by text (626) 429-6750. Once you make contact I will return your message as early as between sessions or within one business day.

What can I expect when we first make contact?
At the first call we will review current symptoms, how long they have been going on and what you would like to work on to help you start feeling better. I will then review treatment options, how soon you can begin treatment and fee schedule. If you feel you would like to move forward with therapy an intake session will be scheduled for us to meet. You will be given information on location, parking, and accessing the building.

What is an intake session?
The initial intake session is the first meeting at my office. We will meet, review current symptoms, gather history and plan for treatment. This session is scheduled for 1.5 hours. At the end of the first session it will be determined on the best plan to proceed. If you need immediate treatment, follow up appointments made typically one time per week. At the first follow up visit a treatment plan and goals will be reviewed. Treatment is collaborative in that we will work together to set goals and can be adjusted on going.

Do you accept Insurance?
My fee structure is available at the time of initial inquiry. All fees are paid in full at the time of service by cash or check. Please note I will provide you with a receipt for services with which you can bill your insurance company for possible reimbursement.

How long will the follow up sessions last and how long can I expect to be in therapy?
Each session is one hour. Depending on current symptoms initially we will meet weekly, as progress is made in therapy we collaborate and determine the best course for therapy and discharge.

What if I need medication support as well?
At intake and through the course of therapy it can be ruled out if a medication evaluation is recommended. While I do not prescribe medication, if medication is prescribed I do collaborate with Psychiatrists as part of the treatment team.

If you have further questions do not hesitate to call (626)204-4098 or email annedennis@mac.com.
